This is Vancouver’s first officially organized Chinese and Celtic music jam! But you don’t need to be either Chinese or Irish to join in. Bring any musical instruments and play along with Taiwan’s Little Giant Chinese Chamber Orchestra and surprise guests from Vancouver’s Celtic music community. We will select popular Chinese folk tunes and Celtic jigs and reels. Sheet music will be provided on site, or it can be requested ahead of time by emailing us at soundofdragon@gmail.com. You can also just show up and play it by ear. Professional, amateur, or students are all welcome. If you have not played Chinese or Celtic music before, here is an opportunity to give it a try.
